I am a little lazy recently, so I guess I will just summarised what had been going on in my life for the past two to three weeks.

Basically, after the first day of AniManGaki 2011, on 11th September, I went to Hong Kong and spent about one week there. Pretty fruitful I shall say, as I really enjoyed the public transport and weather there. Manage to visit Disneyland and Ocean Park as well. I must say, I am quiter entertained by those places. But my real enjoyment came from visiting their Cultural Centre, Space Museum and Art Museum. There were so many things for me to see and explore there that I think I don't have enough time to experience the whole thing. Of course, on other days, I just spent time visiting their shopping centres and malls.

After the end of a great break, I just resumed and the below are just the highlights that happened:
-had first ICAEW Malaysia Student Network meeting, fairly interesting I suppose, (is supposed to type the minutes and correct some stuff)
-attended my first ever NLP programme, it was interesting, apparently I was practising the methods subconsciously. Nevertheless, its fun. XD
-reigniting my interest in reading. Loaned damn many books from library and bought two classics on my own (The Catcher in the Rye and To Kill a Mockingbird)
-finally being a serious student by trying to constantly revise (but plan sort of backfire XD)

So yeah, that's my life so far. Bored though. Cause I ain't growing.

AniManGaki 2011

It is the annual write-up about AniManGaki(AMG)from me again!!!!!! This year I only manage to help out partially in the planning stage and experience day 1 of AMG but it is still a satisfying experience for me. I mean, hey it is my last year as a full-time student, time to enjoy to the fullest.

So regarding the planning stage, it was full of conflicting opinions and last minute decision making which I think was evident during our event. I mean, a show being run by a few man can only lead us so far. I really hope next year that the whole club, regardless of seniority, to participate in the planning stage.

Anyway, about thew first day, I was partially a ticketing person and direction teller. But it was a great to see the progress of the turnout. I mean, that day itself, we had 900+ people and to me, it is a damn great turnout. I also get to see various types of people and cosplayers. Though, to be fair, I have to say that we were damn messy in the morning, due to lack of planning from me and a latecomer called Ticket. XD

Nevertheless, the stress and adrenaline kept pumping up till I forgotten that I did not sleep at all the previous night. I had to tell people directions and sort out the received amount. Not only that, I got constant disturbance by a certain someone. XD Hint: It is a lecturer.

I also had fun interacting with cosplayers ie. The SWAT team, Hansel(thanks for the sweets!), the violin/viola performance by the kind cosplayers. See the excitement you get from being at The ticketing counter?? XD

How can I forget about the omatsuri, stage and hall?? Omatsuri seems a little quiet to me but still manage to be fun. Stage was great, thanks to the emcees, cue and flow manager and the foresight to put the chairs there. A great thank you to the booth owners and I hope they had a booming business.

In short, the event was a great big success thanks to Ms. Jane for whatever critics and help she gave, Song Leong for smoothing out all the incidental crap and to clear up whatever TTT did(you were never a figurehead, since you actually did work and responsibly), Terry, Jess and Derwinn to think things through and go to the details, emcees(Hisashi Glay and co.), booth owners and most importantly, cosplayers, photographers and sponsors.

Cosplayers were damn great, I mean, we had so many memorable characters today and a great train of Hatsune Miku, a bunch of Touhou characters, really cool, confident and sexy crossplayers(I mean business if I am going to suggest a crossplaying competition). Oh! A final word to the cosplayers and a crossplayers, you guys are the awesome-est bunch I ever met, keep being THE people!!!

Photographers, what can I say about you? You guys are the magnet that pulled so many participants to our event, hope our place provided a good backdrop for you. Do allow u to use your photos. We will definitely credit you.

Sponsors, a big thank you!! You all provided the extra edge we needed as you guys bought in stuff to generate more excitement at your booth(especially EYE project booth, so damn cool!!)

There you go, AMG through my eyes and only for the first day. For any feedback, please send and email to animangaki@gmail.com
send the good, bad and ugly, we want to know ways to improve ourselves. XD

Zarathustra

Weird name for a post, no? Well, the name is actually from a book called Thus Spoke Zarathustra. And the implication? He is a hermit.

Still not self-explanatory? XD Basically, I am finding a need to secluse myself. I am only fit to be a friend that only touches-and-goes. I think I did not develop the security in others that I am trust-worthy, capable of giving a listening ear and a strong shoulder to match. Not that I am complaining. XD

But ultimately, its all right, because there are better friends out there who fits your need. While I truly apologise I cannot help you, I am glad someone out there was there for you.

Such occurence were not rare, often enough actually but each time, I overcame it by one method : Be Stronger. And by being stronger, I began to wander more and more, always keeping a whispering thin link with each other.

Consequently, meaning of things change when that happens, I remember I used to treasure this shirt so much but rendered meaningless eventually when I realised it is a one-sided valuation. Only I valued the shirt, the others, not so much. See what I mean yet?

Sometimes, I even placate myself with this question : The world is big, with millions of people, so do I want to limit myself and only know a few hundred?

My answer is a definitive NO!!!! I want to see the world, explore cultures and understand them. Well, maybe its time I change my name to Zarathustra, a hermit that walks around, being philosophical.

Meh, but to do so, I shall need dough (ie. cash), lots and lots of it~~~
