Every day I roam

As per the title, ever since I turned 19, I rarely stayed at home man and the week has been awesome!!!!!! Full of cool-ness!!!
Just a brief write-up on my week. Has been an awesome week but I forgotten most of the things, so, please make do with the limited info here *bows and apologies

On Saturday, 11.12.2010, I found out I passed POT paper ady so, my birthday is also the day I am awarded the CFAB qualification. XD

Then on Monday, I went for Piano, nothing much right, wait till you read about the next few days.

Tuesday, there is meeting at Sunway University for ICAEW Christmas Masquerade Party. Just a final briefing on the whole event.

Wednesday, ICAEW Christmas Masquerade Party. Pretty much... un eventful I guess. Objective not reached but sigh..

Thursday, went out with secondary classmates to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, at first we thought we entered wrong cinema hall, so we enter another one. Then, things don't seem that right either. Guess what, movie screening is at 11.50pm, when all the while we thought it is 11.50am. XD so just chit-chat and do nothing..

Friday, did some crazy stuff which I ain't telling.

Saturday and Sunday is Sunway's Open Day, so basically visited Nursing and Hospitality booth pretty often. I reckon about 4 times each. XD Next year I am gonna learn flair-tending and what not. But first of all, ICAEW to the max!!!

End of a trail, beginning of a journey

Taken on 10.12.2010

10th December is always an eventful date for me. One reason is it being my birthday but for the year 2010, it became even more eventful! For two reasons, one is having to sit for Principle of Taxation e-exam and playing Cashflow game (I don't know the proper name, so I am just putting it like this la). Reasons for the title? Read below, dear folks. XD

The day (commencing time : 12.00am) started off with a phone call from Lilian and Chun Tean, singing birthday song to me and wishing me happy birthday. Feels a little Cinderella-ish because of the 12.00am sharp thing. Alas, they ain't the first though because 10 minutes prior to their call, Tze Lin already sent me a birthday message. XD. Well, that time I am still preparing(STUDYING) actually, so wasn't really able to talk to Lilian and Chun Tean much. Ok, after that, naturally, I had more calls and wishes coming in but I sort of say Thank you and showed my appreciation in facebook ady, so I rather not repeat what I did cause I had more interesting stuff to write about. XD

Basically, few hours later, reached college at 2.30pm and continue studying. ><, this is because exam is at 6pm and the whole day sort of feel wasted because I only concentrated on passing the exam. But then, Mallory and Joann was there as well, crazy peeps la both of them. But It was great having them around, cause they did manage to relieve my stress a little. Mr. Simon was there a well but spoke to him a little only la. Too busy processing my thought on POT subconsciously. XD>

After that, met with Arthur, tried to test each other knowledge but failed miserably. XD, still, manage to clear some doubts la. At 5.30pm, we walked towards the comp lab and wait for others to arrive. It was at this moment the photo was taken, and I quite like the efffect but would have been better if I grasp the lighting. XD Tze Lin bought me a slice of Secret Recipe cake which is damn nice~~ Then, Shu Tin the blur bugger (XD) say Oppa~~ first wor, and not Happy Birthday! but she still did say la later. Wei Ken arrived and he said Happy Birthday also. One by one, the others start coming in. Mallory just knew (from Cheok) that its my birthday so she came to comp lab to great me and Mr. Simon came also to give us moral support la, I guess.

During exam, I was in a half-dazed state of mind actually. I kept looking at the timer and jump here and there. Also had a slight panic attack because I thought I won't have enough time. But overall, the exam was manageable la. Expecting a pass. ;) Also, if I pass, I will buy either a camcorder or camera la. The way things are looking right now, it seems that camera will be what I am getting.

XD, as soon as we are done with the exam, all of them started discussing about the paper which is just so damn UGH!!!! but typically students. XD Then, some of them have to go back hometown and what-not cause it is ady 7.30pm by the time exam ended. Yeah, sun set ady and darkness had enveloped. Then, between mee jawa and Subway, we ( Adam, Arthur, Cheok, Wei Ken, Mr. Simon and me la) went for Subway in Sunway Pyramid. Got buy 1 free 1 coupons, so its ok la. XD And oh my goodness, the things that guys talk about. Damn funny man!! And seriously, I am beginning to believe what books are saying about them la. Not only that, Wei Ken belanja-ed me Subway and for once, Adam being nice, so I manage to get 2 Mitch Albom books for free (yup, birthday present no. 2) XD. I think the highlight is still the things that they are talking about la. I think can be classified as comedy and ecchi. Yeah, hang out with me long enough or read manga/watch anime, then you will know what I am talking about la. Among the things we talk about, includes Sasha Grey(not sure if this is how you spelt her name) series, bottle of 7-hours, and you get my drift. XD, was damn happy la in short.

And the finale of the day!!!!! Playing Cashflow game!!!! So, all of us who went to Subway also stayed back to play Cashflow game. So damn nice to play and interesting too. I mean, being an educational tool, it is really relevant to the real world. But due to the lateness of the time we started playing (9.30 or so), we only completed the first objective which is get out of the rat race. Mr. Simon wants us to focus on this only and the fun part is based on how we played the game. Each of us actually sort of have a signature of the day:
1. Adam is cautious so he did not do much
2. Arthur land on 'doodads' (spendings that serve no purpose) most of the time
3. Cheok is a speculative buyer when it comes to properties
4. Wei Ken got downsized twice but overall he got a lot of opportunities for share market
5. Mr. Simon got two babies and therefore expenses increase, cashflow decrease
6. I usually land on paychecks only. So, typically employee.

But I did have two big breaks which led me to get out of the Rat Race first. XD, 1st one is getting opportunity to buy the share at a low price of 5 bucks and Cheok is willing to give some capital but with a profit-sharing ratio of 7:3 which I am ok with it. XD, cause the selling price we had later was 30 bucks!! XD, so, I got about 96,000 bucks from that one investment. Which enabled to quickly clear off all my loans la. Then, my next big break is I finally land on an opportunity spot and the first I get was a property with 1000 bucks passive income. That exceeded my expenses ady alone! So, I achieve the objective first and sort of ended the game la cause Mr. Simon wants to start teaching what this whole game is about. Though, Cheok only had 60 bucks left but my sudden rise just overshoot him. XD

Personally, what I learnt is, high cashflow by itself won't help much. The real deal comes when your passive income exceeds your expenses. Fair thought? Of course, he taught much more than this but at this point in time, I think the only thing all of us care about is PASSIVE INCOME. XD

Yeah, with the game, CFAB July 2009 is officially the end of the trail and journey begins next year, 4th January 2011 where all of us will be in the ICAEW Application Stage, working our asses and other body parts out to the max. XD Also, 19th is the end of my teen stage, so, gonna be even crazier in my new age!!!

HAPPY 2ND ANNIVERSARY TO MY BLOG TOO!!!!!! XD

PS : Everyone who wished me already. Thank you very much, find your own name in my facebook posts. XD

2-in-1

Taken on 4.12.2010
Well, 2-in-1 basically means two days worth of activities in one post. XD

Yeah, 3.12.2010 first. Today was the first day of Revision Class (RC). The day started off with my usual tardiness and questions. 2 sets of questions, super taxing!! Ok la, got 30 mins break in between but still! Principle of Taxation is really taxing!!! XD
So, basically, once we finished the 2nd set at 11.30pm, we decided to go Sunway Pyramid to have our meal and ate at Burger King. I was feeding my classmates food if they act as an animal, though my only victims were Amelia, Lee Ning and Cheok. Lee Ning is the only one that entertained me though by wagging her tongue like a dog. Amelia is a dolphin but she only did the trick for the Hershey's chocolate pie whereas Cheok is impassive la. The others either still lining up to buy food or buy phone la. Then, talk while eating and as usual, I eat the slowest.
Ok! After that, the others (meaning lecturer and my classmates except Tze Lin) went to the arcade and played games whereas Tze Lin and I went to explore MPH. XD. Funniest story from them was Mr. Simon purposely go against the traffic to bang the 1st and 2nd racer. In his own words, to screw up the race. XD
We only left Sunway Pyramid at about 2.00pm. Do the maths on how long our break was.
Then, another set of questions and off we go home. My additional activity was a short yumcha session with Mr. Ong and Leong Hong, but I rather call him Hong Leong la.

4.12.2010. Last RC with Mr. Simon but he is teaching us again next year, so no worries about that. The coolest part of today is, in an attempt to de-stress, all of us went to the Cyber Cafe above Medan and played Counter Strike. On my own part, I am really bad in the game. All of us were discussing our strategies loudly, it was damn funny. Then right, Mr. Simon like playing the game by himself de. After that, we did another set of questions and it is the end of studying for today.
Well, because I bought two Robert T. Kiyosaki books today to college today and Mr. Simon saw it. He started talking about Cashflow Quadrant, how it affects income, Cashflow 1.01, the share market, technical indicators and many various things. Its very eye-opening la, whatever he said.
Then at night, or evening, went over to Lilian's house for a sort-of Christmas celebration. Glad to see meet-up with secondary friends. Joked damn much. Laughing till my throats hurt actually. Talking about Japanese game shows, some ghostly elements and sat in Su Wei's Avanza to go around. It's fun la in short.

So, today, 5.12.2010 onwards, its time to put my best game on, lest I fail my POT which should not and never happen!!!

Motivation!!!!

Taken on 27.11.2010

Well, while the photo was taken on 27.11.2010, I will also talk about 26.11.2010 cause both days equally mention-worthy.

So, 26.11.2010. One word to describe the day : EPIC!!!! Because today, yumcha session got Mr. Ong as well! I mean, usually, with Mr. Simon, its funny enough but when we add in Mr. Ong, I daresay, classes might as well be conducted in White la!! Yeah, although from the students there are only Arthur, Cheok, Adam, Shu Tin, Tze Lin and me (obviously), all of us joked and crapped so much that the sheer thought of it makes me laugh. Definitely memorable is when we apply segregation on who should get which World Prize (for the papers I am taking next year). I mean, some of us definitely already target and aim for one or two(back-up) whereas I am still in the situation where, IF the World Prize fall on my lap, take la. Though, I don't mind if my World Prize come later though. XD. Then another thing was, when I was eating my roti canai, Adam asked both lecturers for their opinion about making next year 1.5 years instead of 1 year and I almost couldn't take another bite of my roti canai when I heard them talking. It's like so typical accountant. i.e the profits realise slower la, revenue is deferred. I am like WTF!!! mentally. I think Tze Lin caught my wavelength then. There is more things that we talked, joked and discussed about but typically me, I forgotten most of it and for topics that are more perverse by nature, it will be funnier if talked about in real life. XD

A little prediction for the beginning of 2011: Classes are most probably conducted in White *wink *wink. XD

Ok, 27.11.2010, nothing much to elaborate except that sat for two exam papers. Principle of Taxation mock exam and Thinking Skills final exam. Neither was walk in the park!

Oh yeah, talking about World Prize, I am thinking that if I really do get one, I will have to travel to UK to attend the award ceremony. Maybe I will have the time to visit all my classmates currently studying in UK, especially all the parts of London. Some time to chit-chat and catch-up? Hopefully. Tour around the city and historical landmarks? Wonderful. I don't know. This is sort of like my newfound motivation. XD

Well, that's all I suppose. I am quite happy for both days and its timeeeeeeeeeee to raise the bars~~~ Motivation also got ady, what else is stopping me? XD

Barairo no Sekai

but not for me. I don't think my world was ever in that colour. My world was always the colour of black (out of dullness and boredom) but only when I entered secondary school, only then did I start seeing yellow and orange colours. Of course, that was a lttle too late cause in secondary school, bound to have things that will break your heart. I still remember in Form 1, I was originally suppose to go to Form 1A but got thrown into Form 1G last minute.

I remember entering Form 1G uber cautiously and timidly because at that time, I felt like I was surrounded by strangers which some of them gradually became my classmates for my whole secondary life. Yeah, if you remember yourself, be glad I still remember what happened. I still remember being asked to randomly nominate someone to be class monitor. I practically laughed every day since then. All the way up to my last day of secondary school.

Then, once I entered college, I had more hues present. With all the experience I managed to have and jobs I was given the chance to do. Still no barairo but that doesn't really matter. I am kinda glad that colour never appeared in my life yet. Cause I don't want to have a false impression of life. I rather PAINT MY OWN world that colour than letting it come-and-go.

Yeah, this is post is very flashback-type.

PS: Barairo no sekai means the rose-coloured world. Just in case you don't know. XD

Yuen's Steamboat and Shogun

XD, yes, I am being evil here. This is a post of outings which relates to eating places. And good ones too.

Basically, on 13.11.2010, had a mini-outing with Form 5 classmates( you know what, Chun Tean, you are part of 5 Science 1 and if you want to keep your 5 Science 2 past, it's up to you. XD) Only Sonia, Yee Jean, Sow Yeng, Lilian, Chun Tean and Jun Jin was able to make it there, at YUEN's STEAMBOAT. Yeah, say I am pathetic or sad, but the fact is, this is my first time eating there, after studying in Sunway for a year plus. XD. Had a great time talking crap with each other. And particularly liked the part, Celery and Salary. It really shows how a healthy mind and money mind differs from each other. Then, stopped by at Sonia's house for a short moment before having Chun Tean to send me back home. (Ps: Sonia, Ginger is interesting, I want to play with her more!!)

Then, in between those days, a lot of stuff happened but jump to 19.11.2010, which is Shogun at Sunway Pyramid with SUAC members. And the best part, it is all paid for!!! With whose money? I say, I don't give a damn. Although, at the same time, BDO actually organised and sponsored tickets to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie. But then, I only know that by going to Shogun, I had a full stomach, a very hearty laugh and great company!!!! I mean, the Sunway International School gakis/shoujos are damn crazy. 1994 kiddos as well, man, I feel slightly old but no worries! XD
After that, hanged out at the Archery and Arcade. And its Sayonara~~~

The little things in life that means so much. In the future, things won't be the same anymore but the memory we had will be inalterable/unchangeable. The place and the food might be the same, but the people, composition and tone of the meal, will definitely become different. By quite a considerable amount.

(Sounds a little emo-ish but maybe that is what I am feeling right now)

ICAEW

you are gonna be the death of me and dominate my life for the time being(at least for these few years). Though, I love being a helpless romantic to you. ANYWAY! Point to be proof is:

On Thursday(11.11.10), I drove (again) for the whole day. With the early part starting at 8.00am. Going to KLCC. I had to be there really early, cause on a curiousity on my part, I really wanted to know how PricewaterhouseCoppers (PwC) office look like. So, I gotta park at KLCC then take a LRT to KL Sentral.

Yeah, so Adam and I walked to PwC office and he sort of smuggled me in. It was fun. I mean, the decor of PwC is quite.. funky (only the pantry) whereas the office by itself looks very clean-cut and neat. It is a quite a waste that I wasn't able to go to more places though. Anyway, once Adam collected his internship letter from PwC, we head back to KLCC cause the day officially started with entering World Congress of Acccountants exhibition halls. And on the way to the convention centre, the tunnel looked damn great! For no reason other than the ICAEW advertisement. I mean, black and red together is such a damn nice colour. Heck, I would even use the word sexy. (Just unfortunately, some people ain't able to carry that colour well, XD) and a sneak peek of the ceiling for you guys.

Then, right, I heard that something happened in the exhibition hall while some of us were playing around in the tunnel. The some of us are Cheryl, Joanne, Vanessa, Shu Tin, Wesley, Lee Ning and me! We had a great time and managed to avoid being the 'victims'.

Once we were done, we head back to the exhibition hall and start lazing around in either ICAEW booth or Sunway-Tes booth. I forgotten what I was doing but it definitely wasn't productive. Moving on though, we proceeded to listen to the Interview with CEOs: Accountants in the Next Decade: Embracing Change and Seizing Opportunities. It was quite interesting but me being my usual restless self, felt a little bored sitting only.

So, once the talk was done with, all of us have to rush back to college and about me, well, I basically had 4 passengers in my car, namely: Adam, Tze Lin, Wesley and Lee Ning. Anyway, my driving really needs polishing up, cause sooner or later, I might be sued for manslaughter if I keep driving the same way. XD

Moving on, we just barely managed to reach Sunway University-College on time. Cause by the time I just parked my car, suddenly, the rain just came pouring down!! Adam and Wesley is lucky to escape to pink. ><, so sorry Lee Ning! I am skipping the part about the one with Michael Izza, cause it is just random funny moments there.

Now, the real fun begins when some of us have to rush to Sheraton and help out with two things. Graduation and Annual Dinner. The graduation wasn't much, just a small event. Whereas for the Annual Dinner, the moment I laid my eyes on my classmates(girls only), I pratically drool and salivate. My soul left my body and I am at a loss of words. The only thing I was capable of doing at that time was to bow (as gentlemanly as I can muster then) and giggle in fits, out of sheer joy! Then, when the dinner starts, I will have to say that the food is below par and the only thing very memorable is the company. I mean, we even get to see Mr. Ong's wife. Who is quite a statuesque beauty, I would say. Of course, something pretty unpleasant happened, but let bygones be bygones, Jowena.

Guess what, at the end of the day, I had to send Adam home as well. And had our own chit-chat session in the car la. Was kinda 'informative' la.

Basically, the day/night ended well. Had the time of my life. See how two days (9.11.2010 & 11.11.2010) occupied so much of my time and life. I am kinda glad my mother went to Hong Kong during these two days actually. XD

9.11.2010!

Taken on 9.11.2010, which building do you think this is? XD, its actually THE ORANGE of orange, pink and white trio (eating places around Sunway University-College).

Anyway, today was quite ok, good even! Well, first off, had Principle of Taxation in the morning and Mr. Simon did us a great favour by revising chapter 11 a little. I also want to apologise to Lee Ning and Wesley for not reminding earlier about the class. Then right, Chapter 12 is gonna be a big, big headache but nevermind, I shall persevere!!

Following up, I had Thinking Skills and Mr. Mike really go like a bullet train. But I sort of have the feeling that he went so fast is because he want us to read up by ourselves? Anyway, as promised, he ended class early so that a few of us can go help prepare for ICAEW Cocktail Party (though we actually did not do so, story further down).

Had the honour of sending Arthur back to his house though. Then, after that, it is one-way ride to Bangsar then my house then KLCC with Adam, Amelia, Cheok and Wei Ken. I still got a long way to go and definitely much more room for improvements. But one thing for sure, I LIKE MANUAL MORE!!!!!!

Anyway, due to some delay here and there (you know, the usual hiccup in plans), we(meaning Adam, Cheok, Wei Ken and me la) only manage to reach KLCC at 5.00pm. Then, right, I think with this ICAEW Cocktail Party, my reputation gone la! T.T, sad case ain't it? Seriously, my reputation of being handsome, gone la, Gone with the wind. T.T

Ok, so my job there is basically to guide the participants to the lift. Imagine standing for 2 hours and doing that only. I really don't know how normal people wear heels and survive cause mine is only about an inch and now my legs are still aching(as I am writing this post). Eventually, we closed off and I returned back to Petroleum Club. My new job there is to give out souvenirs for the participants. Guess what ICAEW giving?

A MOLESKINE NOTEBOOK AND A PENDRIVE WITH COOL ENCASING!!!!!!!

Seriously, when I was there, I salivate not because of the food but because of the souvenirs. Alas, the souvenirs were snapped up. Totally.
Back to the event, I enjoyed myself pretty much, although I was only informed quite last minute and without much notice. Yeah, at least I get a glimpse of how networking events work. Cause the last few I attended.. was never on this scale. I mean, World Congress of Accountants speakers presence really make things magnified.

So, in a conclusion, some of the memorable conversation of the day:
1. I spoke to Johan Raslan(JR), Managing Director of PwC Malaysia. Nah, actually story is Randy asked Johan Raslan to take photo with us. Then, right, he asked us which firm did we work in then, please read the below:
JR: What about you?
JK(me): I interned at somewhere else?
JR: Somewhere else, where?
JK: BDO
JR: Laugh/Snicker/Giggle, (whichever it is la)
and sorta bow. I don't know why though. Still manage to bring a smile to me whenever I recall it. XD

2. Scenario is driving on the road:
The stooges in my car were keeping record of the speed I drive, then every increase also they will hooray! Break new record liao! Wah, so fast! That kind of thing. Then, suddenly, the big vehicle in front of my slowed down (actually not really near la, got quite a big gap), so
JK : Wah! Gonna bang the front car liao!
Arthur, Adam, Cheok all show me palau face and shouted: Got another 10 meters la!!!!

Yup, that's pretty much about it.
Orange never fail to make me happy. XD

PS. Palau is a word from CFAB July 2009 language. It means ignore and specifically used for facial expressions. XD

Unthinkable!!!

Well, this one serves a few purpose actually. XD

I am in the midst of doing a reflection of the movie Unthinkable. And, oh boy, what a headache! I mean, I am good at writing non-stop but only if it is a topic I am good at or I am just being aimless. ><, but then, I am sort of enjoying myself cause it gives me a sense of my Big L time. Still, it is still mind-boggling. XD

Then, the next Unthinkable comes from, I don't know when, my inclusion on a cocktail party organised by ICAEW for the speakers of World Congress of Accountants (WCOA) 2010. I mean, me? Jowena Kok, being included? No doubt my role is only one of an usherer but to be included, I find that an honour by itself.

Yeah, not only that, besides being busy on 9 November, I also have things to do on 11 November, then steamboat with secondary classmates on 13 November! I find myself so busy it is..

UNTHINKABLE!!!

Great 5 days!!! (Penang to Kuala Lumpur arc)

Disclaimer : Lots of fun involved, no bars held, stereotyping committed. XD

Finally, the last day of OUR trip. Didn't really do much today cause today everyone is a little tired. Though, we did do something a little playful. Which is:

This morning, Adam, Arthur, Wei Ken and me, woke up early to catch the sunrise(sadly, we were on the wrong side of the beach though)Anyway, truth to be told, Penang's beach ain't as nice as Langkawi in terms of sand's texture, colour and scenery. XD

But nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves by drawing on the sands and posing here and there.

Then, once we are back to the service apartment, almost everyone is not awake yet. Except Lee Ning, who still seems a little groggy. What we did was actually to put some shaving cream on some of them. One of our conquest was Amelia's face, we succeeded but actually she already sensed us, so when we go for round 2 on her, the hunter(Arthur) became the hunted by Amelia. They were struggling on the bed. It was such big fun to watch them. XD

Then we had (failed) attempt on Shu Tin but the foam/cream landed on the comforter instead and got smeared all over later till no traces were evident. XD Anyway, there is really nothing much to say about our final day cause we did not plan for such a long day anyway.

So, basically all of us reached Hentian Duta at about 11.00pm and then we part ways.

AniManGaki 2010 : A Success Story!

Yup yup! AniManGaki 2010 was a great success! Although with all the problems that keep popping up at first, we manage to pull it off with a BIG BANG!! I am really glad that I joined SUAC last year March. One of the things I will never regret.

Well, beside taking a break from blogging about Penang and Langkawi trip, I also want to blog this first, because I am afraid history repeats itself and then I don't remember what to blog again for AMG '10.

First of all, although AMG '10 is a one-day event, nevertheless, it took us, SUAC people, months and months to plan what to do, gather sponsors and co-ordinating with outside parties. The brawns only came in on 30.10.2010 and AMG '10 day itself. XD I believe I saw the both sides because I was in sponsorship dept. and logistics dept. at different timeline.

Anyway, so for AMG '10, I woke up late. Gah!!!! So, wasted about 2 hours to help before the set up. Arrive there just in time fro AMG '10 to start.

So, just a short good and bad one in point form:

Good:
-AMG '10 was packed to the max! Tickets were sold out way earlier than expected and I think the rough estimated number of visitors we had at the end of the day was 1,200 people!!
-Cosplayers were damn cool and they all did their best! Particularly liked the one who cosplayed as Hisoka from HunterXHunter. I mean, when he manage pull it off, ain't that what cosplay is all about?
-The MCs were great!! They did all they can to make the whole event fun! The best part, they are willing to spend time with us for the post-mortem this year. Where do we get to find such good souls anymore?? ROCK ON GUYS!!!
-While I did not manage to spare time to enjoy the activities, I had great fun being the 'cleaner' though, I wonder if carrying a broom around is a bad idea.
-The AMG '10 t-shirt!!! Muahahahaha!!!
-All activities, matsuri games and haunted house is definitely happening!! Can see throngs of people throughout the day at all these places!

Bad:
-I think the rubbish bins issue needs to be arranged properly next year (translation : Jowena, you gotta do a better job next year!)

XD, well, I am only good at bragging la, so, what do you expect?

A short summary:

I woke up late but managed to reach in time for the event to start. I think that the food booths were a great addition to the whole event!! Because for the first time, I felt full in an event. Basically, had a rice, courtesy of Ms. Jane (teacher advisor), burger, honey lemon juice, Gintoki special (strawberry milk with pearl) and 2 snow ice. XD.

The cosplayers!!! OMG man!! I feel so happy for all of them cause they all looked really nice! I really respect their level of commitment and dedication. As mentioned before, I particularly liked the Hisoka cosplayer. There is Kagura from Gintama that is worth mentioning as well.

I think the bigger surprise was seeing Mr. Simon at the event. I think he was there accidentally. But it was great talking to him. Cause he really provided a lot of suggestion and ideas to make AMG even better in general although he is not SUAC's advisor or anything. Hat's off to you, Mr. Simon.

Now, what else did I not write??

Meh, will combine the planning stage and post-mortem in one post. XD

Great 5 days!!! (Penang only arc)

Disclaimer : Lots of fun involved, no bars held, stereotyping committed. XD

Following on, we had one full day to enjoy Penang! As usual, the "bangun pagi, gosok gigi......" routine by everyone. XD

So, our first stop was Macalister Road where we ate some seriously good Char Kuey Teow, Curry Mee, Cendol and Rojak. The best part is, the fellow who cooks the Char Kuey Teow wears a super duper cool sunglasses while cooking. Its damn funny to see it. And in a way, it sorta became his trademark for people to know that this Char Kuey Teow is nice.

After that, we decided to go to Air Itam and eat the famous Assam Laksa. Although the place is a little cramp and maybe albeit messy, the Assam Laksa is just as good as being balance in its taste. And since Kek Lok Si is just nearby, why not walk up Kek Lok Si and enjoy some sightseeing? Off we trot to Kek Lok Si. Surprisingly, I made a statement in Mandarin to Amelia but Adam heard it and he hit me for it. The statement is nothing big actually, only that " If Adam can pass through, I definitely can too!" cause there is a big lorry that was blocking the road. Suddenly Adam hit me and say, "I know what you said". XD

Then oh no!!! The guys even sissier than the girls when it comes to haggling!!!! XD, this is because we barely walked for 5 mins, then everyone start seeing things that they want to buy. The girls settled their issue even way faster, quicker and earlier than the guys. Unfortunately, once we pass the Turtle Pond, Amelia, Lee Ning and Wesley don't feel like joining us. So, we continued all the way to the top where the construction of the big Guan Yin statue is still on-going. All of us sorta became more faggot-y once we reach there. I don't know why but seriously, go to my facebook and look at the pictures. It speaks volume!

Then after spending about an hour or so there, we decided it is better that we go back down, lest the other 3 had to wait for us for a long time or in case, it rains. Anyway, our next stop is FOOD!! Er.. I mean, GURNEY DRIVE! So, at this place, sadly, we had to separate our place and the only most memorable thing I get from here is, Amelia became high without drinking alcohol. Fact to prove : She kept on using rubbish like tissues and plastic to produce 'wan tan' then ask some of us to try it. Luckily, none of us did. If not, sure kena screw cukup-cukup.

I guess, that's all bah. I mean, going back to hotel and sleep, ain't really worth mentioning in detail. ngek ngek ngek!

Great 5 days!!! (Langkawi to Penang arc)

Disclaimer : Lots of fun involved, no bars held, stereotyping committed. XD

The second day really nothing much to talked about. Except that I found out something new about myself. I really hate inconsideration to the max! Read down, you will find out why :P

In the morning at about 10.00am, was awoken by Adam and Wei Ken going out of the hotel room (since when did I became a light sleeper) and accompanied them. Sadly, nature called and had to use the toilet, so went back and poo-ed then bathed. Not long later, start waking everyone up cause we gotta return the car by 2pm. So, as usual, started talking again while waiting for everyone.

Then, once all of us are done, we had to go back to Kuah town and that's when issues crop up. We went separate ways, which is, the 'auto' car occupants (Arthur, Adam, Cheok, Wei Ken and Amelia) is gonna go shop for more duty-free items like liquors and things like that while the 'manual' car occupants (Wesley, Lee Ning, Shu Tin, Tze Lin and me) are suppose to buy the tickets, then rush for lunch and then go shopping, if any. I don't know why, maybe cause I don't know their side of the story or I really, really find it unfair to us. Well, let bygones be bygones. XD. I made a really sarcastic statement though which I now kind of regretted. This is because at one point, they asked us to go to Dataran (He)Lang as well, >< Glad that you guys laugh at that statement though. XD

So, went up the ferry and touched down Kuala Kedah first. From there, we took a taxi to Butterworth I think. I am lucky to enter the taxi that was fairly new and with working air-con together with Adam and Wei Ken.

Anyway, once we reached Butterworth, we went to sit a short ferry ride, it was nice to travel to Penang beside using the Penang Bridge. But I think the thing worthy of being mentioned is that almost everyone wanted to con me again, due to my lousy geographical knowledge and understanding. XD

Woah, my experience with Rapid Penang is very memorable. One thing that I definitely notice is the efficiency and cleanliness of the bus and the system. And my first hand experience with Penang-ites (aside from anime club friends of mine) is quite eye-opening. Well, I thought of making life easier for us, so I suggested, let's all put the stuff on the seat beside mine, cause no one sitting also. Then as we move around Penang and the bus got filled up, suddenly one old uncle who board the bus starting saying "The seat is for people. Can't you put the bags at the front? You are very inconsiderate" Of course, being me, I couldn't be bothered much, so I gave quite minimal reaction. Then I think the uncle beh tahan and said, "Can't you do something about the bags?" So I act a little exasperated and start calling everyone to take their bags back. The uncle quickly sat in a huff beside Amelia, pity her la for being stuck with the uncle. Rather than being angry at the uncle, I became wondrous of Penang-ites culture cause it struck me as kind of unique. Or maybe I don't board buses often, so I really don't know how is it like. So, to be reprimanded on the bus is really a first-time for me.

Then, once we reached Batu Ferringhi and checked-in to our service apartment, Sri Sayang. We head to the roadside night market. Before that, we had food in a food court. And I find myself fairly lucky to order Fried Tom Yam mee hoon. Cause the food that the others ordered, according to them, don't really taste nice. But the best surprise came from Shu Tin, she ate Assam Laksa, Char Koay Teow, Lam Mee and some grilled fish at one go. It was really funny seeing her eat so much (facts might differ but conclusion the same : she ate damn a lot) XD

So, we walked around the night market after the meal and my best experience was with Tze Lin. Story goes like this, I was about to buy ice-cream from this Indian lady, then Tze Lin shouted "DON'T BUY FROM HERE" and she dragged me, while running, all the way to the front, while the both of us were laughing. XD, what happened was, she called me a few times but I didn't hear her and just as I was about to order and pay money, she sorta got panic and did the above. XD, man, I just love that moment!

The night market was nothing much actually. But we did find out that the beach is quite nearby, just that we have to pass through other hotels to arrive at the beach.

But that wasn't really our main objective anyway. Drinking was top on our list. Did I mention we managed to smuggle a few bottles like a Midori, a Bombay Sapphire, a Vodka and others (we had a group photo of them)? Oh yeah, we named two bottles Mr. Simon and Mr. Ong as well. The story, some other time. Basically, we played more games and became more hyper tonight. XD. Especially liked the part where Arthur became "King" and made the rule "sekarang, semua cakap dalam Bahasa Melayu" and Wesley kept getting caught cause he keep using English. Then right, we also have three types of lap dances, courtesy of Wesley and Adam. Wesley did once with chair and another on Cheok (*wink *wink) and both were definitely good. On the other hand, watching Adam doing lap dance is... er... um... ah... MAKING ME LAUGH MY ASS OFF cause he fell down with the chair, just because he wanted to act sexy. Wei Ken was being sporting too because Wei Ken dare's was to take off his shirt and act like a cow boy, which was precisely what he did!

And that, my folks, ended the second day. Life rocks!

Great 5 days!!! (Langkawi arc)

Disclaimer : Lots of fun involved, no bars held, stereotyping committed. XD

Yup, yup, 25.10.2010 to 29.10.2010, I spent my entire time with my CFAB classmates in Langkawi and Penang. Had a blast man! And we definitely had things working out quite nicely for us. XD

So, our first stop is Langkawi and our route went like this: 12.30am, board the bus at Perhentian Duta to Alor Setar, then we went to sit some really, really old bus (man, I find the bus so vintage and old, its hard not to like it) to Kuala Kedah, quickly bypassing Pekan Rabu. We reached just in time to board the ferry, which is about to set off 5 mins from the time we bought the tickets(LMAO at the movie they aired for us, Puppet Master:Axis of Evil but most of us were sleeping anyway).

Once we reached Langkawi, first thing we did was to rent cars and tried to charter a ferry for island hopping. Car rental was a success although hiccups appear. Anyway, in the car I was in, together with Adam(driver), Cheok(co-driver), Arthur and Shu Tin, we literally rocked the car! With all of us shouting our lungs out to songs, with Adam being the gay-est among us, it is definitely noisy. And I realised that my knowledge on English songs is really poor. ><>Ngek, ngek, ngek. Nighfall and dinner was ate nicely in Kuah town. About RM20 per person with chicken, egg, vegetable, fish and rice. Quite a good bargain. Though, the enjoyment lies in the liquor. The guys managed to buy 2 bottle of Chivas Regal (12 years) and 12 cans of Carlsberg for our own 'consumption'.

On the way back, the two drivers (Arthur and Wesley) were being faggot-y because they raced with each other. It was quite amusing actually, because at one time, Wesley said to Arthur "Want to see auto or manual, which car pick up faster?" and before Wesley can finish the sentence, Arthur sped off already because light turned green. Then at the following traffic light, Arthur smiled to Wesley and the reverse occured. This time, Wesley drove off first. Man, amusement, amusement.

Once we reached the hotels, its time for games. Again, thanks to Wesley for gathering data about the games. We played King, Up/Down and others that I forgotten. We downed one bottle of Chivas Regal that night itself. Of course, with the help of the mixer (Coca-cola). Craziness ensues the whole time! We have Adam, who kept wanting to lose because he wants to drink, then Shu Tin who drank while smiling but says it taste bad. Wei Ken is either definitely drunk during the whole game or just relaxing~ Me, exercising self-control. XD

Following up, we walked along the beach while talking with each other. Particularly liked the session with Arthur, Shu Tin and Tze Lin. Really had bonding at that time. Then I really liked the waves and all, so, once I settled most of them in the bed, I went for a self-reflection session by myself in the beach. That time, Lee Ning, Wesley, Adam and Wei Ken was still around. Later, after I settled them in, I went back to the beach again.

For better or worse (still yet to come to a conclusion), Adam and Wei Ken came down to accompany me. We were talking at this room and we sort of kena screw by a Eurasian. Wei Ken became a little bit more aggressive than usual. Which is a little heart-lightening to watch. So, the three of us basically moved a little further and talked crap. I personally really wanted to wait and watch the Sunrise too.

Finally, I was coerced by them to enter back the hotel room. Turns out they were worried about me being alone at the beach. So, I had to promised them that I won't go. And then, since it was a little tough finding a place to sleep, I thought I should sleep at the guys bed. Gah!! It became damn squeezy as in I kept being awake because I got no place to move around. So, I gave up sleeping, walked around the room and decided to sit on the chair and do some reading. Gave that up also at about 6.30am and finally went to sleep beside Amelia. Thanks for sharing the blanket!

There goes the first day! Second day coming right up!

PS: I became addicted to the song "Lemon Tree"

AniManGaki 2010 and P+L trip

I am back!! After the 1-week plus hiatus of phots (><), I am back with a unique one. Guess where this photo come from. Sheesh, I am becoming forgetful in getting the photos everyday.

Anyway, I am done with PT1 of POT, woo hoo!! Call me an easily satisfy bugger or whatever suits you, I am happy with 67.5 marks, though I could have done better. Was definitely under prepared this time.

So, the only thing I look forward to now is AniManGaki 2010 and Penang + Langkawi trip (which I dubbed as P+L trip, but many thinks it is Profit and Loss trip. XD). Once I enter the final week of October, I have a damn fun whirlwind to handle!!

Yup, yup. This has got nothing to do with thoughts and opinions at all. But only an expression of joy and excitement!!!!! XD

P-s dominated

Wah, my past one week of life has been dominated by P-related things. XD, I am not particularly happy about nor really depressed. Just normal.

Yeah, so the list of P-related things:

1. Portfolio project
2. Principle of Taxation (POT)

Yeah, those two practically dominated my life for the whole week. I mean, the little little things like Thinking Skills class and SUAC meeting are fun, but not so prominent this week.

Yup, yup. Gonna go nerd-ing now cause I am really afraid of POT.

Back!!!!!

Taken on 8.10.2010

Taken on 7.10.2010

Taken on 6.10.2010

Taken on 5.10.2010

Its back! Its back!! Actually its refer to the daily sky photos that I take. XD. Took a long hiatus since the last one cause internship really hindered me from doing so. Anyway, since I am back from internship and continuing college life, I can continue what I promised. XD

Basically, from Tuesday to Friday ( 5.10.10 to 8.10.10) only had Principle of Taxation class. Each day. For 3 hours. Good thing Mr. Simon is our lecturer, so classes are a little bit more tolerable. And now I know why tax consultants or people in tax department are paid quite well. Just the 1st 3 chapters showed me the level of detail required. I mean, I nearly go bonkers trying to do the question because at every 'round' or most of the time, you are bound to miss doing something. It's scary and funny at the same time, ya know. Oh yeah, also celebrated Tze Lin's birthday on 8.10.2010 with minimal surprise (aka phailed attempt at surprising her ><). And I have the feeling the 30 mins break that Mr. Simon give will be 'making money session', in another words, he is teaching us for the full 3 hours. XD

On Monday (4.10.10), life ain't that boring either. Actually, we were suppose to have Thinking Skills class but then, class got cancelled. Because.... Ok, I am better at writing it at a sequential form, so here goes! Well, as usual, I reached college at my trademark timing (read : late) and started playing a fool with everyone due to the fact the lecturer is still not around. So, we played till it is 8.30am and I sort of can't stand it anymore, therefore, I decided to look for Soo Min. Turns out lecture is stuck in a heavy jam in a toll highway. Class cancelled due to that. Our next course of action after doing up other miscellaneous stuff is to have hang out together for the next few hours. The place we decided is Sunway Pyramid and we ended up in Pappa Rich. Once everyone is there, except Arthur, started crapping away la. XD Crapping eventually lead to talks about class trip. XD, after all the havoc and noise, we decided to go to Penang and/or Langkawi. Of course, being us, none of this is finalised yet. So, just gotta wait and see. See how fun my 1st week of college is! But form 5 still seems to be the best cause I just watched a video of Hui Sin and Su Wei getting married. What a crazy bunch we are!! Come back, craziness! Come back too!

Hayaku!! Bartender-san!!

Nah, was just being playful. XD

Roughly translated, what the title meant was, Hurry up, Mr. Bartender!! Yeah, I am in need of a bartender. I don't need Mr. Bartender to mix drinks for me nor work under me (just in case in the future, I want to open a bar or something) but rather, taking up the role of a psychologist. Minus the pricey consulatation fees.

I used to think that bartenders only know how to mix cocktails and polish drinking glasses with cloth. Then, an anime entitled Bartender (adapted from a manga of the same title) gave me a totally difference perception about a bartender. Bartenders actually "ease the worries and soothe the souls of troubled customers". How cool is that!!! And bars are actually suppose to be well-hidden so that you can find your own 'quiet zone'.

Anyway, within my age group, there ain't anyone wise enough to be Mr. Bartender. So, I guess I will be my own bartender. For the time being.

And maybe that is why I keep on making my own Milo almost daily. XD

You know, I am very sure I hate to wallow in the mud of depression and hopelessness for a long time. Of course, reading back my previous entries, I noticed that those with strong negative feelings sort of contradicts my statement but hey, I really feel much better after writing it out. As in, it won't bother me that much anymore.

And ta-da, as you see now, I am happy again!!! XD

But for better measure, I still want a Mr. Bartender!!! XD, not to sound like a brat but, watch the anime and see what I mean. I can bet you will either want to be a Bartender yourself or get a Bartender.
Dear Jowena Kok Sze Min, based on your test result: You've made your way well in this world despite all the obstacles you've had to faced. You have survived a lot more troubles than most people. You have had to deal with difficult people, ridiculous rules, and tempestuous relationships.
Love for you can be as intense as the fire on the face of the sun. You are either very calm on the inside when there is a lot of insanity going on around you, or you shut people up and take charge. You can go to a movie by yourself. You are as comfortable alone as you are with others. You are angry at your parents but you can't change them.
Here is the analysis: -
웃 : You are a great lover when you find that rare mate who is your equal,
웃 : otherwise your relationships do not go well.
웃 : Life is a roller coaster,
웃 : and you are finding ways to make the good times better.
웃 : You love sports.

Ahaha, copied that from one of facebook quizzes.

And, I officially sent a message to Yee Jean and Lilian in the middle of the night aka 3.30am to not inform me of any outing at all. in the future, that is.

Yeah, I think I just can't stand it anymore.

That's it, new life Jowena!!!! The world will still move on so don't stop yourself and let yourself lag behing us. Either keep up or be faster.

Tearing up

As in namida type of tearing up. You guys really break my heart, do you know that? Everytime you guys do something, I don't know a shit about it at all. And the only way I can know it is when any of you guys would proudly put it up on facebook, making a grand big announcement and tagging the people involved.

And don't misunderstand, I am not making a personal attack here. Just writing it out to stop myself from crying. Cause at the end of the day, you guys just aren't worth it. Come on, 4/5 years worth of friendship and destroyed just because we all parted our ways. Man, I am disappointed. Yeah, I can be blamed for being maybe a bit more sensitive than my usual self. But you know what, I usually keep my sensitivity to myself caused most of the time, time can heal my sensitivity.

This is like one of those practice makes perfect things you know. The more I am seeing these kind of things, the more I get immune to being neglected. At the end of the day, maybe you guys won't be my friends anymore but purely and truly strangers

Are you guys hinting me to treat each and everyone of you as disposable items? Use once and thrown away instantly? Ok, maybe I have too deep of an attachment to you guys but seriously, can't you guys even inform me what happened?

And, last but not least, I think I have the right to be angry and if I do communicate to you in a more hostile manner, I won't apologise. Seriously.

I want to be punched, kicked and assaulted so badly right now. I need some real physical pain to make me cry. Rather than letting the emotional pain inflicted upon me continue rocking my sanity, I prefer using another method to make me cry.

The million fragments of my heart are being strewn across the whole universe. For they became so melancholic till they want to be lost in the sea of depression.

Hyperactivity reigns!!!!

XD, on 26.9.10, I went to do a stocktake!!!

Yeah, it might sound like a super dull word but seriously, I think I manage to learn a little. So, here is my experience:

Well, first thing off in the morning was to assemble in front of Menara Uni Asia at 8am. As usual, I was late (this time a few minutes only. XD) and finally we start the road to the client's place (thanks Frankie, Eugene and Shan!!!) . Luckily, being Sunday, the cars on the road was minimal and we managed to reach Klang in about 40 mins. Oh yeah, at the less developed part of Klang too. Where building were quite sparse save for a few factories and some widely-spaced houses.

So, seniors arrived after us and briefing from client's staff starts. Basically regarding how they do their stock calculation, location and things like that. Milk and sugar are the most valuable items here. We also sorted out among ourselves on who will be in-charge of what and things like that. I was teamed up with a Pui Sze (I assumed her name to be spelt like this), a quite cute girl. XD. We were required to check the Packaging stocks like labels and cartons. I mean, one of the client's activity is to print this sort of things.

Anyway, what we did was basically choose a few items to check "List to Floor" (Existence) and "Floor to List"(Completion) Ahahaha, hope I got that right, I kinda forgot. Then, had a great time observing the forklift at work and a word of caution, it is dangerous.

The only downside was the fact that the production machinery is not working today. Because if they do start production, all of our stock-taking will go haywired! I mean, they need raw materials to produce their finished goods. Anyway, still no complain, cause I actually enjoyed myself quite a lot.

Meh, the juniors(meaning the 5 of us : Frankie, Eugene, Shan, Pui Sze and me) finished early because basically the things that we choose as samples didn't pose any problem to us at all. We did not have to check for discrepancies/variances/differences at all. Lucky us. XD. Frankie had a funnier experience. He said that his guide(basically the one bringing us all over the warehouse and storeroom) asked him to count the stock as well. Due to the fact that he finished early. I can sort of see a role reversal here. I mean, instead of the guide following Frankie, Frankie was the one that followed the guide (><, should really get his name, cause I think I am being quite rude).

Anyway, the 5 of us started chit-chatting while waiting for the seniors. We spoke any crap under the sun and finally, we decided to go makan ady. Of course, with permission from seniors. Then we ate at this Bak Kut Teh shop, both version aka soupy and dry. Quite satisfied with the food there. Except for the fact that eating slow made me eat much less, ><. But yeah,I enjoyed my meal with the 4 of them.

Well, basically that's the end of my day cause the return trip was wasted with me sleeping but still being able to listen to everyone's laughter. XD

Adios, amigos.

Book cover....

Does it really matters at the end of the day?

For me, the cover's significance(s) is quite dependant on a few factors. I will consider the signature design of the publishing company, maturity of book contents, frequency of usage and tradition involved. Of course, the price must be reasonable as well. Surely some might have differing opinions and among one, might say that, it is the contents that matters, why bother with the cover?

This topic randomly came after a few things accumulated. I never really thought book covers to be an issue until recently when I saw Enid Blyton book covers were revamped to much more sharper contrast of colours, stronger characters design and layout changes. My heart sank instantly cause it looks too Americanized. Or maybe it was just because I am too attached to the covers that I came to adore when I was young.

Naturally, I began to remember incidents relating to book covers. Like on once occassion, I accompanied two friends to KLCC because one of them wanted to buy book. He even got a specific publisher for the books. So, off we go to find the books. Kinokuniya system is quite good, I must say. Anyway, I teamed up with my other friend, a girl and we did found the same title. But the publisher was different. Coincidentally, the guy friend manage to find the right publisher for the book. So, being me, I asked, what's the difference, aside from the obvious fact of the covers and publishers, and imagined my surprised that the difference in price was vast (about Rm20 to Rm30). I mean the difference is almost enough to buy another book.

Then, allow me to further elaborate about book covers with a well-known book title, The Da Vinci Code. I bought the US-edition first actually. The one with a partial picture of Mona Lisa and dark brown cover. Well, I was really absorbed by the writing style of Dan Brown, so I began to buy his other books. And the other books were in UK-edition. So, I began to wonder, why are the books design is so different in term of 'character'? The US-edition was obviously much more solid and more in-your-face whereas the UK-edition has a more classy and soft feel. The price were not greatly apart though.

Another issue which made me think back of book covers happened in my Literature in English times. That time, I bought my books quite hastily and wanted to make sure I had all the materials before starting class. Well, the teacher didn't use the books as soon as I expected but I was glad to buy the books much earlier. This is because when my friends bought the books much later, the covers were revamped to appeal better to the younger readers but personally, I wouldn not have traded my books for their covers at all. I will be able to prove this point better if I can you show you the books now. And let you experience the difference yourself. But seriously, I think I will be less motivated to read the book again and again if the cover was not up to my expectation.

Ok, so, there goes my random topic on book covers. I really hope that book covers will turn out for the better whenever they go for revamping. And accordance to all those that I mentioned above. XD

Adieu and goodbye

Yeah, this post is dedicated to Audrey Chong (Wei Kuan) who left for United Kingdoms on the night of 16th September 2010. She is a dear friend. One that I know for 9 years and counting. Superbly smart and my Mandarin tuition-mate.

We known each other since Standard 5 and her smartness was already apparent although she just joined the school. Heck, and I wonder how I got to know her so well that she actually asked me if I want to take up Mandarin classes with her (her then-current mate was going overseas, so I am sort of like, fill up the person's shoes). Well, why not? Its a win-win situation anyway. Thus, my command of Mandarin, if any, is thanks to her!!!

Then, the simple and enjoyable discussion about shows and movies among us also. Whenever we talk about those, it gives us a slight shine in our eyes cause we are able to awake ourselved with laughters. Ahaha, those were the times.

Man, I will always miss how her presence, always simple yet still felt by others.

Well, may your time in Manchester be among the best that you have and be a great pharmacist!!

Selamat Hari Raya~~~~

Yeah folks.

SELAMAT HARI RAYA. MAAF ZAHIR DAN BATIN.

And I don't know what else to say anymore. Perhaps I should mention about the two outings I had with my form 5 classmates. Sort of like a Prelude to this joyous occasion.

On Thursday (9.9.10), had half a day off from work (whoopee!!!) and a farewell for few of my form 5 classmates who are leaving for UK (first-timers namely Audrey Chong, Gun Lesan, Chai Hui Jian and Edward while repeats are Haow Bin and Yau Mun). Will be missing you guys!!! Well, farewell was at Rakuzen. The food, by the look and smell of it, were fairly decent. Though I will have to say, I would be able to give a more accurate judgement if I did eat.

On Friday (10.9.10), went to watch Step-Up in 3D. Despite not being an avid fan of dancing except a one-year stint in ballroom dances and a short-lived interest in tap dance(actually I still like it but not that passionate anymore), I quite enjoyed the movie. The storyline is kind of..normal. But the dance moves and the sound tracks were awesome! Kudos to the choreographer(s) and music director(s)!!!

So, there goes my prelude. I have yet to visit any open house for the Raya though. Invite me in for any open house if you are having one. XD

English, english, english.. where art thou??

Sigh, I am suddenly depressed over one thing. And that thing is none other than my deteriorating command of English (not that I was really proficient when I left Sri Garden). To make things worse, I read my previous entries and guess what, I went "GAHHHHHH". I noticed that I had so damn much mistakes and spelling/typing errors. Gah!

So, should I change my writing style to better English with more accurate grammar, punctuation marks and wider vocabulary? Gah! I don't really want to leave out my -la and XD though.

But then again, I really, really want to improve my English though. Aside from the fact that ICAEW Application Stage is in full-blown subjective papers (aka answer in essay form), I think my written English is beginning to affect my verbal skills as well.

That's it.

TIME TO BUCK UP!!!!!

English, till the day I leave this world, I shall hunt for you.

Yozakura Quartet

The first time I used a manga/anime title as my blog post if memory serves right. XD But don't expect any anime reviews. I am not that good. Yet.

Anyway, the point is, I just finished watching the anime of this particular title. Waiting to start on the manga series though. I just realised, it has been a damn long time since I enjoyed an anime.

When the realisation hit upon me, I thought back of the times when I grew up. Surrounded by comic books(then reading the Bahasa Melayu translation), gradually progressed to watching anime in local television channels (dubbed in Bahasa Melayu) to online reading manga and watching anime (aka now).

Also, I am now a proud member of SUAC, currently helping out in AniManGaki '10. Who knows, in the near future, I might be crossplaying even. XD

Tanggal 31 !!!!

31st of August for every year reminds me only one thing :

School-Wide Celebrations!!!

Yeah, cause I study in a school where kindergarden, primary and secondary levels are under one roof. Withour fail, annually, the celebrations will include a lot of us drabbed in traditional clothings. And we sort of have half-day off from studying due to the various celebrations.

I think my best memories from my schooling days celebrations were :
1. Decorating classes for the "Best Decorated in Merdeka-Theme Classroom"(yeah, title kinda cacat-ed by you get my drift)
2. Singing a mix-and-mash up version of "Malaysia Truly Asia" where we sang certain parts in English, Malay and Chinese (by the way, today I found out that there is a Japanese version of it in Youtube, forgotten the title of the video though. ><, apologies if you were interested. XD)
3. Participating in Inter-Private School Choir Competition, that was specially held in conjuction with Merdeka celebration. I forgotten what songs we sang but definitely in our line-up was, Setia. Cause it was out grand finale!! The funniest part was, we (5Sc1'ers) practised for about 2 weeks, due to the sudden change of songs(we can't sing Malaysia Truly Asia as a patriotic song T.T) and the teacherS, who were actually quite well-trained in Music, kept changing our harmonization, (I think that is the word though). But! We still managed to get 3rd placing, which surprised all of us. XD

Meh, 2009 was kinda boring though. No decorating of class, no singing. And got nothing!!

This year, 31.8.2010, it was a little bit more special than my non-schooling year (aka year 2009). I managed to finished a novel, entitled This End of the Rainbow by Adibah Amin. I was slightly late in realising that it touches on an issue close to all of our hearts. RACISM.
When I finished the book and think about it, then only I noticed, Hey, on Merdeka day, I completed this book. Seriously, scrap off all the politic talks and only introduce this book to childrens. Way more effective than Moral, Malaysia Studies or even National Service for that matter. The level of English is kinda easy anyway. Children can learn more words anyway. XD

Ok, that's it for today folks! see you again.

3 days of play-time!!!

Woohoo!! Had the best 3-consecutive days of internship period. 26.8.10, 27.8.10 and 28.8.10. In chronological order:

1. On 26.8.10, which is a Thursday, the whole team were allowed to leave slightly earlier than usual (aka 5.30pm-type-of-sharp) and we went to Tenji, a Japanese buffet to sort of celebrate. Man, eating from 6pm till 9.30pm, I definitely felt like bursting. BUT, that is not the end of the story. We watched "The Stool Pigeon" at 11.50pm!! Sadly, there is not 'yumcha' session after the movie, because all of us were too tired. Just a side note, comparatively speaking, Shogun tastes way better than Tenji but for view, go for Tenji and sit outside. One more thing, I guess the funniest part was taking a group photo but Lee Ning and I came out holding ice-cream cups only after they took the photo. So, for us, the whole team has to take a photo again. XD

2. On 27.8.10, I forgotten the details of what happened but I remember feeling happy. Maybe it is the news that most seniors won't be checking in for work on Monday because of time-off. XD, yeah, less eyes, the better for us to be naughty. If we want to.

3. On 28.8.10, travelled for about 21 hours and definitely had fun. The plan was supposed to be go to Penang, sight-seeing and eat then come back. But there is an addition of stopping at Ipoh. So, the whole journey goes like this. From KL, went to Ipoh and ate hor hee then prayed a little to my great-grandfather and my great-grandmother then we resume our journey to Penang. First thing we did was to eat the assam laksa and then to scout for two things: Ghee Hiang Sesame Oil and nutmeg. MIssion accomplished for both things, by the way! Dinner was char kuey teow and a pork satay. Ahahaha, on the way back, stopped by at Ipoh again to takeaway wat tan hor. Supper was lala mi hun in the car. XD, I think I ate damn much too today!!

XD, there you go folks. The 3 days I had was damn fun!!!

Extreme!!!

Can you see the uzumaki-like design in the sky? Cause I certainly did.

Anyway, what extreme means for today is.. I experienced the most of both good and bad sides today. I was utterly stressed by work yet supremely satisfied at the end of the day. I mean, the day started off ok, before being informed by a senior that what I was doing all the while seems a little off. Imagine my misery or 'fun', as you would like to put it, when I had to try and do my best to tie the figure or at least, minimise the difference/variance. But towards the end of the day, when I did manage to slightly accomplish that, I felt like King of the World!!!

But the best part, from Lee Ning : Good that you are almost done, but the bad news is, you took two days to finish it. :P

XD, damn cute right?? yeah, I was elated that time.

Oh yeah, return of the sky photo. Hopefully I can continue so for the next few days. Took it on 25.8.10 by the way.

Nothing more than...

A little upset. XD, that's true. I was a little hurt recently. Only by one thing though. Which is, I was not informed that Ru Yi became the new sponsorship department head.

I have no problems at all with her being the head. In fact, I was glad. My only remorse came from not being informed about it. I mean, come one, I am part of AniManGaki crew, ya know? Why am I not informed about, especially when I am part of the department too?

While to most of you, this might sound petty, to me, it just means a little of my respect for you just vanished. I will have to say, I sort of thing that I experience this whenever I see your facebook status, saying all the little petty outings you guys have and make me wonder to myself, hey, why I don't know about that?

><, I think it is time for me to start taking things lighter and less by-the-book.

Laughterrrrrrrrrrr

Ahaha, writing this was what I actually wanted to record down. Just a short story, to let you have one or two hoots of laughter. XD

So, it all started on a ssunny afternoon, as my colleagues and I finished our lunch and were walking back to the office. Out of a sudden, the 4 of us ( 2 Audit Associates and 2 Trainees) heard the chirpings of birds. Some of us thought it was the birds outside and some of us thought it is handphone ring tone. I was for the one thinking birds chirping outside and even commented, It sounded melodious. So, we reached the office and entered the lift. Later, I was slightly shocked to see 2 seniors in the lift too as I thought they were buying mooncakes also.

A few seconds of chit-chatting, we heard the birds chirping again and this time, we found the source of 'nuisance'. It is actually... my phone!!! What the heck man!! The lift practically erupted to great laughter because us, auditors were the only ones in the lift and I think they witness my slightly comedic actions. In the sense that, even when my phone was chirping away, I put the speaker side to my ear to confirm it.

Gosh, I am neither embarassed nor proud of the moment. Seriously. But I am damn glad that I managed to made them happy, even for a fraction of a second.

Yeah, this is what I wanted to typed actually, instead of the previously emo-ish post.

Another thing, I don't really put pictures here. So, bear with the words! XD

Floating in the air

I guess you can call this feeling lost more than being imaginary and happy. XD

Yeah, I am seriously floating in the air cause I don't know what I want to do anymore. I used to, mark the words, USED TO, have a plan which is after completing CFAB and ICAEW, take a year off and do whatever I want. So far, the things that I would like to do most are:

-Travel in Japan
-Polish up my command of English, Chinese and learn Japanese
-Become an air attendant (don't ask me where this random plan came from)
-Take up a Diploma in Journalism

Yeah, within a year, I wish to accomplish all those things but then at a student review meeting recently, I would say about a week ago, I think a few sort of disagree with the plan of taking one year off. I seriously don't know why but I am quite sure they have their reasons.

Anyway, internship right now is playing quite a huge role too in making my decision. I know that the only real thing that I get from this internship is the kind of work that I will be doing. Seriously, it is more like being an curious child that loves to question a lot than deal with debit and credit. I kind of like it but before that, I must know what is it that I am looking for. Half the time when the seniors call me to ask the client's staff questions, I come back with answers totally irrelevant. XD, which indirectly, what I am trying to say is, I defeated the purpose of asking.

Ok, that was off-topic cause another thing that I would like to bring up is, my inability to distiguish my own.... emotions? perrceptions? argh!! you know, those intrapersonal stuff!

Gah!!! Did I suddenly turn emo or what?? Nah, I think it is more like I still haven't grow up yet.

But I suspected myself to suffer from Peter Pan Syndrome. Ahahahaha, leaving things at that la. Not like typing it out here gonna provide solutions.

Shortcut

More like a summary I think. Just putting it down here before I forget what happened.

Past few days was a damn frenzy. Let's just say the starting point is Malaysian Student Leader Summit(MSLS), followed by Lydia's farewell, ICAEW movie night (this time, the movie is Avatar: The Last Airbender) and finally Summer Jeopardy Challenge.

All of the above is fun in its own way, nevertheless, they never fail to leave me with a tinge of regret. For not enjoying even more.

Hope I can remember what happened in each event. Even after a long time.

2 times in 4 days - Intro and IFF day

Another promise to myself, to write everything in Trebuchet if the font is available. XD, yeah, now I syok sendiri ady, I want to use BDO font to write my blog.
Anyway, I am talking about Internation Food Fiesta (IFF) and BBQ at Yau's house. While I might have missed out Redang trip, oh boy, I am damn glad I went to this two places, despite potential screwing by my mother. XD.

So yeah, IFF.. was kinda boring this year, because the scale was done a little bit smaller but what I like best is seeing the teachers again and talking to them. The food wasn't really my main point actually from the beginning. The second fun part comes from what I did after IFF. First thing first, the people involved are basically classmates from Form 5. Back to topic, what we did first was to crash at Chun Tean's house aka meeting place to plan for our day. Nothing much there except I think black forest banana cake(?) and lots of crap-talking. XD

So, there we start our journey in separate cars to Edo's house, and I am happily in the same car as Lydia~~~ I think Lydia wanted to use MRR2 to go but midway, both of use decided that it is better to just take an LRT there. It kind of amused me when I recalled that Lydia laughed at Chun Tean when he suggested it. Moving on, so, there we go, chatting away in LRT and while waiting for the rest to pick us up.

Due to communication glitch, our original destination of Snowflake was changed to Sunway Pyramid and once again, I got trolled. Surprisingly, the ones that trolled me were Sow Yeng, Lesan and Su Wei. The story goes like this, they already reached Snowflake and occupied seats for us and waited for half an hour before ordering food. Just as they are finishing their food, a call from Lydia using my phone to inform them that destination changed maybe did not really destroy their mood but definitely gives them an idea to play a prank!!!

Once we reach Sunway Pyramid, we went to Pasta Zanmai and we sat down while waiting for the three of them. And by some weird twist of fate, I sat at where all the empty seats are. So, I guess you should know by now where they sat. Yee Jean and Chia Hoong, who were second nearest had the nerve to cover their faces with menus while I am left alone to console the pseudo-angry/disappointed lot. XD, what the heck la when I know later that they are faking it.

The next spontaneous activity we had was to sing K, where I neared my pokai point. AmSquare is kinda expensive therefore, we squat beside the escalator to discuss where should we sing K. It was fun, you know, to pretend to be drug addicts. XD, you know la, the general idea of a bunch of drug addicts is to squat in a circle or loitter at a Timbuktu area. Imagine that.

Its decided later to go Endah Parade to sing K. Much cheaper though definitely not known at all except for maybe a few of us. A few songs that is memorable, Sorry Sorry (where we all danced), Whataya Want From Me, Gee(with weird English spelling as lyrics), Kenangan Terindah.

After that, we had supper in OUG area, at Sri Steven's Corner or something, if I am not mistaken. It was like a yamcha session except that eating was more obvious than talking. XD

Guess what time the whole day ended. I remember reaching home at about 1am or so. XD, part 2 coming up, regarding BBQ at Yau's house.

(Missed) Redang Trip

I am such a faggot. I can't believe I use such a title.

Anyway, yeah, this is basically a post of doubt. Yeah, I initialy wanted to put sadness and regret but I find that those two aren't really the appropriate word.

I am still wondering, why on earth did I not take a leave to join my friends in a fun-filled trip. Not to say I am feeling utterly despaired, I think I sort of became immune to it because there are other things that actually made me feel even worse.

For example, I really hate it when people keep stuff away from me. I am quite sure I made this quite clear often enough, but I think being ole' me, no one thinks its serious. Yes, be it from secondary school friends or college mates.

Gah!! Enough of that long-winded sad sounding post, I actually wanted to write what I did instead of going to Redang, which is.....

Attending TRAINING at BDO

Not to say which is better or worse, but I believe whenever a choice needs to be made, the resulting feeling of "why did I not"
definitely comes back to haunt you.

Ok, time for the truth, I know if i try this IRL, I will be beaten up, so, here is the truth for you. Actually, I was more sadden on these few occasions. First of all, it is during World Cup, when I read Chun Tean's facebook status about you guys going to Lesan's house to watch one of the match, I was sliced to pieces because I am not sure how many of you people, my friends, know that I hate gangs. Heck, sooner or later, I think my only connection to you (5Sc1) is going for 'pai nin' at everyone's house and ta-da. End of story!!! To be truthful, I will really cry when I realised that happen, in the future, if it did happen.
Another thing, I always feel disconnected. I have no idea when it started but 5Sc1, please please please make me feel connected. again. Although I know, it is my loss, not yours. The verdict is really up to you. I mean, where had all the happy times gone to? Hell or heaven? For eternity? No way!! Fuck that!! I want the happy times to stay in our memory and better still, we create even more happy future.

Ah, I feel much better now. XD, I really like to rant and cray, too bad I can't do this at work, lest I be chased away by my senior right now. Just 2 more months and few more days!
