Lunar New Year!!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!!!!!

Its now the Year of the Dragon, the most celebrated Chinese zodiac around. But I still prefer Fruit Basket's take on dragon, which is a seahorse. XD Anyway, its time for family reunion, gambling and time to increase the savings, regardless of the amount.

Then, as per every CNY, I would definitely be watching tv for countdown, performances and especially, the LION DANCE. I don't know why though, there is something about their movements, the agility, the gracefulness and the playfulness they portrayed, it really makes me enter an awe mode.

And since there is a tradition to stay up late at night so that parent's can live longer, here I am, blogging to kill off some boredom and to make time pass a little faster.  And see what else I am doing withing the first hour of the new year:

XD, manga reading and comic blog reading, I really am an otaku in a wide sense. XD

So, again, have a great new year everyone!!!

Of fair weather and pleasant mood!

Here you go, a Hawaiian-like photo taken in a place called Klang. I honestly did not think that such a beautiful view could be obtained in Klang. Anyway, its a good one I think, the lights were balanced, sky are almost cloudless and there is a worldly feeling to it.

Of pleasant mood, would refer to my happiness at passing my FM exam! Seriously, I got panic, restless and irritable for the whole week. I feel bad for talking to my seniors harshly actually. And they still patiently taught me things. Well, I am in a period with steep learning curve, so I guess it is the best time to grow then.

Since I passed FM, 5 more to go before I complete ICAEW and say bye for good. Not to say I am letting the pass get into my head, but I am enjoying it while it last! And Chinese New Year is around the corner as well. Time to use the holiday for a good movie and good rest to recuperate before coming back to work.

So, finally, have a great Chinese New Year everyone!

Idle mind=devil's workshop

Honestly, this saying is as true as truth can be. Cause I had one near experience of it. And that experience almost changed the way I viewed some things.

For instance, I was actually at a very close friend's birthday party, I was initially happy and excited, not at the prospect of the party per se, but at the notion of seeing my friends because I recently started work and would like to see more of them.

So, what began as an happy night eventually turned into an emo-like moment to me because I turned bored. Yes, you read it properly, BORED! So I turned to my usual solace to cure my emo-ness and the cause of that moment was partially induced by some alcohol I took in the night before. Well, according to my solace anyway.

So, off I go, BBM-ing and getting counselled before I made a decision that I can never undo. Of course, the main trigger was still my boredom though.

So, believe now when an idle mind is a devil's workshop? XD

It's all about Malaysia!!!! Malaysia Boleh!!

XD Title actually seems a little quirky, even in my opinion, but guess that is the best way to sum the things below. So, be warned that they will be no political views or independence declaration. XD

Actually, first thing up is Malaysian Girls musical that I attended last year (actually not that long ago, just one or two weeks back) at KLPAC. I went alone despite KLPAC having a buy one free one promotion regardless. Obvious reason being that I enjoy watching performing arts alone. Its like, I really get to be in a world of my own.

Back to the musical, in all honesty, it was awesome!!! (note: by Malaysia's standard) The first thing that awed me was the storyline actually, I mean, where in the world do you actually get to know about pageant training schools (do correct me, I am quite sure I might be wrong) and the things that they do. Then, the next aspect, the singing and dancing were just damn great that I couldn't help but to tap my feet as a way of joining them. But you know what I love best? It is the backstage people, like the director, choreographer, musicians and support staff. Without them, things might not be able to run as smoothly as necessary. For example, towards the end, one of the performers collapsed due to health reasons and support staff actually dealt with it quickly enough (I was really worried about her but also partially thought it was part of the show). Yeah, a truly glitzy and glamorous production!!!

Next up, about Malaysia Boleh is that I recently bought a calendar from Bolehland.net that covers 12 months. But to be fair, the calendar is actually a collaboration project between MiaoWafuPafu, Bolehland.net, Bro, don't like that la, bro and Pauline, where all 4 of them are actually comic bloggers. My personal favourites are actually Bolehland.net and Bro, don't like that la, bro because they are just downright funny and lame wei!! All their post, if not most, captures the true Malaysian spirit.

All in all, it is still about Malaysia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: I still love my country.
